NAMPA, Idaho — The Nampa Farmer’s Market is officially open.
The market hosted a soft opening this past Saturday featuring vendors who were only selling essential items. With Governor Little’s plan to begin to reopen Idaho, the farmer’s market is now starting to expand back to what they were before the pandemic.
Market manager, Lynne Cordle talked with CBS2 and described how that will work. “This week we opened up the market a little bit more than we did the first week.” Cordle said. “So we do have a couple of craft vendors that are coming on this week and then we’re hoping to just kind of slowly bring them in as we can with still maintaining that space for social distancing.”
As we move into the summer season, Cordle says she is looking forward to having their musicians back and the ready to eat food vendors there to make the market more of a social event.
The farmer's market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Some of the Nampa Farmer’s Market vendors are taking orders online for those who are not comfortable shopping in person just yet. To make an order, or to get more details visit the Nampa Farmer’s Market facebook page.
