NAMPA, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a recent news release, the National Arena League officially revealed Nampa as the newest franchise to join the National Arena League for the upcoming 2024 season. The Horsemen became the fifth recent city to join the National Arena League and the first team in Idaho to play in the National Arena League.
In 2024, the Horsemen will host their home games at the Ford Idaho Center as the franchise enters its fifth season, launching its first season in 2018. Chris Reynolds will lead the two-time AWFC league champions.
"Today's announcement of the Horsemen joining the National Arena League is truly a process that has taken several years for our organization to bring to fruition," stated Horsemen owner Chris Reynolds. "When we had the vision of bringing professional football back to the state of Idaho when we started this in 2018, it was with the goal of associating ourselves with a league like the NAL. Through the years, as we have continued to grow, we finally came to the point in time that we could officially make this change. Our fans are going to be exposed to new teams, new talent levels and entertainment that will be unparalleled in our community. Horsemen fans and partners, it's time to Posse Up because 2024 is going to be the beginning of a whole new chapter in our franchise's history."
The Horsemen join the Sioux City Bandits, Omaha Beef, Carolina Cobras, Topeka Tropics and Colorado Spartans as current NAL members, with future team announcements coming in the following weeks.
