Genshin Impact features tons of unique and diverse characters that form a vital part of your journey as The Traveller. Many new characters are added to the game frequently, or NPC characters are made playable over time, and one that many players want to see make their debut as a playable character is Baizhu.
If you're also anxiously waiting on Baizhu's emergence into the roster of the playable character in Genshin Impact, then keep reading. As we'll take a look at everything, we know so far regarding when Baizhu will be released in Genshin Impact.
When Will Baizhu Release in Genshin Impact?
As it currently stands, MiHoYo has yet to give us an official release date for Baizhu in Genshin Impact. What we do know so far comes in the form of a general release window, leaks, and some suspicion that fans and noteworthy leakers have had over the past few weeks.
From what we know, Baizhu will be released sometime this year, as mentioned officially by the developers, but the official date is still unknown to us. Many suspects that he will come alongside the 3.6 patch of the game, as the next patch, 3.5, is scheduled for February, and we have no news of a new character coming with it, so it's more likely that Baizhu would come in a later patch such as 3.6 later in March or April 2023.
Based on Baizhu's design, we expect him to be a Dendro character, and will likely be a catalyst user, which would make sense given Baizhu's poor health prevented him from using physical weapons. This makes it likely that if a new region that matches this type is released, we can expect him to come along with it. For now, unfortunately, we have no official release date for Baizhu, but we expect MiHoYo to give us some details on his release soon.
