As you can expect, the legendary loot is the most valuable and comes with unique perks and mods. Naturally, some of the best weapons in the game are legendary weapons. These make zombie slaying a more gruesome and satisfying experience. Here's how you can get all the legendary weapons in Dead Island 2.

There are eight legendary weapons in Dead Island 2. You can get these by completing certain story arcs, whether it's via the main story or side quests. Some of these can also be obtained by completing Lost & Found quests.
Party Starter (Knuckles)
- Fixed perks: Spitting Fire, Skilled
- Fixed mod: Superior Melee Cremator mod
- Location: Obtained by completing the Lost & Found quest, "Drunk and Disorderly," in Ocean Avenue.
The One (Claymore)
- Fixed perks: Headhunter, Swift Blow
- Fixed mod: Superior Melee mod
- Location: Obtained by completing Sarah Sheppard's side story arc. To get this, you must finish three side quests in Monarch Studios. These are - It Came From Monarch Studios, The Terror of Sound Stage 4, and Beacon of Hope.
Krakatoa (Axe)
- Fixed perks: Reaper, Tearn 'N Sear
- Fixed mod: Superior Melee Cremator mod
- Location: Obtained by completing the "Missing Steve" Lost & Found quest. The missing person Lost & Found quests won't be available until you have reached the safe house in Serling Hotel.
Emma's Wrath (Hammer)
- Fixed perks: Overkill, Shockwave
- Fixed mod: Superior Melee Impactor mod
- Location: Obtained by finishing Dead Island 2's final story quest, "Hollywood Ending."
Blood Rage (Knife)
- Fixed perks: Puncture Wound, Infectious
- Fixed mod: Superior Melee Puncturator mod
- Location: Obtained by completing the "Fool's Gold" Lost & Found quest in Santa Monica pier.
Brutalizer (Sword)
- Fixed perks: Bloodlust, Contagious
- Fixed mod: Superior Melee Mutilator mod
- Location: Obtained by completing the side quest, "Body Art: The Visionary." You can begin it by talking to Francesca in Beverly Hills. The quest won't be available until you have completed Rikky Rex side quests, "Resurrect the Rex" and "The Ballad of Rkky Rex."
Big Shot (Revolver)
- Fixed perks: Boomstick, Russian Roulette
- Fixed mod: Superior Ranged Impactor mod
- Location: Obtained by completing the side quest, "It's Not Your Fault." You can begin it by talking to Luciana at Emma Jaunt's mansion in Bel-Air. The quest won't be available until you have finished the main story.
Body Count (Rifle)
- Fixed perks: Exit Wound, Bloodthirsty
- Fixed mod: Superior Ranged Puncturator mod
- Location: Obtained by completing the Lost & Found quest, "[Redacted]." You can begin it by finding and killing a zombie called Lt. Ford in the military area of Venice Beach.
